Little Barn is a café that sits quietly tucked away on Pound Lane in Bradford-on-Avon, offering a relaxed spot for coffee and light bites amid a rustic, countryside atmosphere. The space itself is modest, with a handful of indoor tables that make for a cosy setting, plus some outdoor seating that feels particularly inviting on sunny days. Visitors often mention the peaceful vibe here—an easy place to unwind with a book or catch up with a friend without the rush of busier town centre cafés.

Coffee is clearly a focus, with well-regarded options like cappuccinos, cortados, and a notably popular hot chocolate often praised by those who stop in. The café’s menu leans towards simple, thoughtfully prepared dishes that cater well to lighter appetites. Small plates such as the cheese scone, bacon and egg sandwich, and Chef Esin’s cheesy herbed eggs on toast offer a satisfying nibble at a pace that invites lingering rather than rushing. Sharing a hummus board is also a frequent choice, underlining a casual, social use of the café.

The crowd here tends to be a mix of locals who appreciate a quiet respite during their day and visitors exploring the town’s outskirts. Mid-mornings through early afternoons, especially when the sun is out, seem to bring the best experience—sitting outside surrounded by countryside charm while enjoying freshly brewed coffee feels like the natural rhythm of this place.

While the cakes here lean towards smaller portions and a slightly higher price point, the overall experience balances out with attentive, friendly service and a menu that encourages grabbing something light and staying a little longer. Whether stopping in for a morning pick-me-up or a lazy afternoon tea, Little Barn fits a relaxed, country-side mood suited to those who appreciate a quietly curated café experience away from the busier town centre hustle.

We’ve visited The Little Barn Café in Bradford on Avon three times now with my husband, and we always enjoy their raspberry chai. It’s become our favourite. We usually treat ourselves to a slice of cake too. It’s a lovely little café with a nice atmosphere, but we did feel the cakes were quite pricey (from £5 upwards) for the small portion size, and the taste didn’t quite match the price point. We don’t mind paying a bit extra for good quality, but in this case we felt it could be improved. That said, it’s a sweet spot for a drink and a chat.

Lovely service, great value, cute setting and amazing food. Loved how they had the option of smaller plates from the main menu list. We ordered a small plate each and shared the hummus board. Would recommend!

My girlfriend and I found this adorable barn-style coffee shop while exploring Bradford on Avon, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We sat outside in the sunshine, surrounded by countryside charm, and enjoyed some of the best coffee we’ve had in a while. The setting was peaceful and super cute—rustic but cozy, with a laid-back vibe that made it hard to leave. Great service, lovely atmosphere, and genuinely amazing coffee. A hidden gem that’s well worth the stop!

We visited on a lleafy autumn day and were delighted to find this little café tucked away in a sunny corner of the Grange of the mighty Bradford-on-Avon Tithe Barn. We stopped for coffee and cake and were very pleased. The menu also includes sandwiches, jacket potatoes, and breakfast options, all freshly prepared and attractively served. There’s a small indoor area of about seven tables, plus additional covered outdoor seating beneath large parasols which is a perfect spot to relax and take in the historic surroundings. The location is superb, with beautiful walks along the canal and river right on the doorstep. We noticed several dishes being served to other customers, all of which looked delicious. We’ll definitely return and can recommend this charming café as a lovely stop-off on your walk. The Tithe Barn itself is an absolute must-visit. Dating from around 1332, one of the finest medieval monastic barns built for Shaftesbury Abbey, it later became part of a farm after the Abbey’s dissolution. Now a scheduled monument, it remains one of the finest examples of its kind in England. Make sure to go inside and marvel at this awe-inspiring piece of history and don’t forget to look for the apotropaic witch marks incised into the stonework (see photos) as well as the monumental cruck frame roofing.

“Discovered this quaint little café tucked away in the grounds of the Tithe Barn — what a gem! The food was simply delicious, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavour in every bite. we had the Soup of the day - A Pumpkin Soup- , and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The team were so friendly and made you feel genuinely welcomed, which made the whole experience even more memorable. You can tell the owners and Chef Dave, truly know and love good food — every detail felt thoughtful and full of care. A lovely surprise, and definitely a place I’ll return to! Dog friendly too.

The staff are really kind and helpful. Orders come fast despite large numbers of people-clearly a very talented team Me and my friend had been queuing to order, but when my friend came to pay she didn’t realise they don’t accept card, and I didn’t have enough money to buy hers. A few minutes later one of the staff members gave her a drink on the house and even changed it when she wanted a different type of milk (…sorry about that). It was really lovely of them and it makes you know they value their customers . Outside seating is also usually free if inside is busy

Such a lovely little place! Visited on a Sunday which did get really busy - the coffee is amazing. I had a raspberry mocha which was just wow! The food was also good and there are gluten free and vegetarian options! Friendly staff and dog friendly!
